[Battlemesh] Recommendation for wireless usb pen

I have been thinking about buying a  wireless usb pen to add to my
tplink TL 1043ND (atheros) usb port and add a secondary antenna
(directional) possibly using an old satellite dish to create a link with
several kilometres to a zone with ca clean fresnel zone.

What would be your recommendation. 2.4ghz or 5Ghz ?

What would be the recommendation for a 2.4Ghz usb wireless pen ?

What would be the recommendation for a 5Ghz usb wireless pen ?

(firmware is openwrt of course)
