My opinion on those simulator is that they are not reliable enough to
simulate everything (reflections, etc).

But what I would appreciate for next WBMs is more infos from the
physical layer, even including RF sniffers/loggers in an outdoor
environment.

There are too many assumptions from routing protocol mesh developers,
because most of them stay at layer3.

Next WBM should have some Horst nodes in monitor mode:

Too bad the RTL dongles do not cover 2.4Ghz.
