Today the European Commission published its plan to monopolize 700Mhz
and below bands (480Mhz that Elektra was using in her down-coverter is
also covered):

There is a need for some backfire.

They put Internet of Things in their press release, but this is just a
buzzword to hook your devices to the Telcos networks and make you pay.
