HeylĂ  Gigi,

welcome to this list and thank you for your feedback.

Let me try to expand and abstract on what you wrote.

Other people asked me if it would be possible to highlight certain type
of nodes, you called these "supernodes", some people called it "backbone
nodes".

So what I see is that some people would like to see a differentiation of
certain nodes because it would be handy to get an understanding of the
situation just by looking at the map.

Right now there is something that we could do quite easily: create a new
status called "active backbone" and assign it a different color.
That would be one kind of differentiation that is already possible with
the current implementation and doesn't cost development effort.
How does it sound?

You also mentioned something that would not be complex: the size of the
circles.

Right now, the size of the circles can be changed from a general setting
(see NODESHOT_UI_LEAFLET_OPTIONS in
http://nodeshot.readthedocs.org/en/latest/topics/ui.html), but only all
the circles.

Allowing admins to tweak the size of circles for each status would not
be very hard I think, infact it is already possible to configure fill
color, stroke color and stroke weight for each status, see here to get
what I mean: https://ninux.nodeshot.org/api/v1/status/
