They should identify the same order, so yes, in my feedback the
default view would display a pointing-down arrow on the Date Created
column.<br>

Even more so. If you make them appear only on hover, someone might
miss that there is another custom sorting applied once they get rid
of the first one on a given column. I mean, multiple column sorting
would be both poorly discoverable and revertible as a feature.<br>

But IMO I would avoid multiple columns sorting entirely. I think
every use case when someone would want to use multiple sortings
would be best served by appropriate filters, so I would focus on
improving filtering. The more granular, the better.<br>
