Shortening the POF cable
The POF cable can be cut off easily at any point using the included POF
cutter.
 The cable must be cut properly and the cutting edge must be at a 90°-angle
for
optimum light coupling or uncoupling. Therefore, never cut the POF cable
using
scissors or a knife - use a POF cutter.
Connect the cable in one of the openings of the POF cutter (if necessary,
separate the two
leads of the POF cable from one another beforehand). The two leads can be
cut properly by
strongly pressing the button of the POF cutter.
Make sure that both leads are of equal length.
 Each cutting opening of the POF cutter may be used only once, as minute
damage
to the blade is caused by the POF fi bres and the plastic coating.
 Otherwise, it may lead to reduction in the maximum attainable cable length
or the
data transfer rate.
