I think you are confusing Nanostation2Loco and NanostationM2Loco!
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/ubiquiti/nanostation does not mention the M2
which is the more recent and better product.

Ubiquity runs BusyBox,  Linux kernel 2.6
