Unfortunately nobody from Wireless Leiden was able to attent the recent
conference.
I understand that you have been struggling with preparation of firmware.
In this respect it may be interesting to have a look at Nanobsd
(https://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/articles/nanobsd/index.html).

At Wireless Leiden we have been using Nanobsd for many years and like
very much the ease of installation and maintenance.
