not sure what you are talking about

for the old iperf I collected some patches... you can find everything here:
https://github.com/zioproto/iperf/tree/unofficial-patches

basically all the patches that I found people did and never merged
upstream are there.

there was some optimization for packet generation, but nothing too big.

I have no idea about this Italian professor you are talking about :)
