no, because its already done :-) we in leipzig are using these devices
since many months, f.i. for solar power stuff.

btw, freifunk is using openwrt as firmware, the device is supported!

but take care, there are several communities who are running old
firmware with old openwrt with outdated routing-protokolls (batman-adv
2013) because they are waiting for more gathered experiences with the
newer versions..
