A little confusion here:

1-11 available worldwide; preferred channels 1, 5, 11 which very slightly overlap.

1-13 available EU; preferred channels 1, 6, 13 which *don’t* overlap, so less mutual interference.

1-14 available Japan; 14 is far enough away from 13 to be independent, so you *do* get four in Japan.
