Please elaborate on this for the sake of better conversations.

If they successfully sell routers that build a mesh and offer an AP for clients
I don't see why the routers are far from useable. At least you can install the
OS of your choice and deal with the wifi blob in the way you want to deal with
it.

Of course the future should be brigther and free of evil blobs. But that's maybe
step two after a pragmatic step one.
