Hi all,

I don't know if this is the correct place for this, so my
apologies if it is off-topic here.

I am one of the organizers of a new conference called "spectrum".
The conference is the result of the "amateurradio and SDR" devroom
we had at FOSDEM earlier this year.
The goal of the conference is to expand on the idea of
amateurradio and open-source, and also look outside the borders of
amateurradio towards other users of radio-spectrum.

The conference is held in Rambouillet (near Paris) onĀ the 14th
and 15 of September.

You can find an interview we did over at hacker public radio which
explains the goal of the conference here:
https://hackerpublicradio.org/eps/hpr4122/index.html

We are currently in the stage of the Call-For-Presentations, which
you can find here:
https://spectrum-conference.org/24/cfp

(deadline 15th of July)

Me personally, years ago, I played around with OpenWRT routers and
some PI's with OLSR over Wifi (both on 2.4 and 2.3 GHz), but -as
said- that was years ago and the technology has probably changed a
lot since then.

So, if somebody would be interested in giving a presentation of
the current state of open-source mesh technologies, you can surely
count me in as visitor
(just a hint :-) )

(ah. and the conference is free)

For who is interested, we're on mastodon here:
