Recently I have been thinking a lot on the discussion about topology.
I've taken some time to study existing efforts and I've found some
interesting examples:
JSON Graph Format
* url: http://json-graph-format.info/
* spec: https://github.com/jsongraph/json-graph-specification
* examples:
https://github.com/jsongraph/json-graph-specification/blob/master/examples/les_miserables.json
Force directed graph example D3 javascript library
* url: http://bl.ocks.org/mbostock/4062045 (check out the JSON at the
bottom)
JSON Graph spec
* url: https://github.com/bruth/json-graph-spec
Cryptoscape.js
* url: http://cytoscape.github.io/cytoscape.js/
NetworkX
* JSON outputs:
https://networkx.github.io/documentation/latest/reference/readwrite.json_graph.html
I took some time to digest all this work and I come up with this proposal:
https://github.com/interop-dev/json-for-networks#network-graph
Se the example here:
https://github.com/interop-dev/json-for-networks/blob/master/examples/network-graph.json
Next month I'll meet some people from Guifi and Freifunk and I'll try to
talk about this effort to them.
If you are in Madrid between 6th and 11th of May or in Berlin between
13th and 16th of May let's meet up!
Federico
