Well I've planted the seed. Hopefully you guys find trigger useful. If 
nothing else, FNF will be adding OpenWRT support.

The subject of the email was about not reinventing the wheel. :)

It seems embracing/extending trigger is another way to help not reinvent 
the wheel.  Maybe even adding a json output format. Don't think small, 
plugin to the larger frameworks that are out there and don't think about 
just wifi devices. Networks consist of so much more 
(switches,routers,firewalls). Having a unified framework is really 
important.
