I think it would be awsome.

It would be a good opportunity to talk about alternative wireless
technology and possible funding for experimental high bandwidth
community networks.

Musti, I really hope you can come there and show us your work.

And Peg, I think getting in touch with the Ronja project would be very good.

1Gbps wireless optical project I have been developing for the past year
or so. It is aimed to enable 100m wireless optical link at 1Gbps at
lowest cost possible and is now in the early prototyping stage. More on
this soon, I haven't yet managed to put together a presentation proposal.

Ronja project give a presentation as well! There could actually be a
topic like alternative wireless networking systems on a primarily WiFi
focused event.

project to give a demonstration at Battlemesh. Ronja is an open source
hardware project, using modulated visible (or infrared) light, with 153
registered installations worldwide. It is developed in Czech republic
where it is deployed by ISPs as well as serveral community wireless
networks, for example CZFree.net. See

think it would be of interest to people, and since Leipzig is less than
200km from Czech it seems like a good opportunity to make links with
this project.

Ill email them inviting them to give a talk/demonstration of the
hardware.
