[Battlemesh] Lorawan: wake up battery wifi nodes in the wild?

Hi,

I am looking for a simple radio solution to power wifi nodes in a
remote area (with mostly no 2.4/5Ghz RF pollution) to wake them up
from power off.

I had a look at LoraWAN modules, implemented a simple temperature
message every 5 minutes to the BaseStation provided by wireless
antwerpen guys, but they do not support the send part (the lorawan
module can only send its temperature), not receive a signal that it
needs to wake up.

This is to install some Wifi Permanent Testbed somewhere in the wild.

If anybody has more experience with Lora and this particular case, let me know.

Best,

"In July 2005, after several failed attempts to legalise software
patents in Europe, the patent establishment changed its strategy.
Instead of explicitly seeking to sanction the patentability of
software, they are now seeking to create a central European patent
court, which would establish and enforce patentability rules in their
favor, without any possibility of correction by competing courts or
democratically elected legislators."
