You mostly cannot change the channel on adhoc mode, as changing it at one
location forces you to update it on all the nodes.

In babel diversity (multi-channels) discussions, we had the idea of some
third radio that would sense the air and negoriate which would be the best
radio channel to pick depending on the air usage. Some APs do this and ask
their clients to relocate to another frequency, but they can do it in a
master-slave setup, not in an adhoc setup.

I participated in this European Commission public consultation, but I don't
know what came out of it. I guess, like in the US, expert views will be
ignored.

"In July 2005, after several failed attempts to legalise software patents
in Europe, the patent establishment changed its strategy. Instead of
explicitly seeking to sanction the patentability of software, they are now
seeking to create a central European patent court, which would establish
and enforce patentability rules in their favor, without any possibility of
correction by competing courts or democratically elected legislators."
